mint Spanish engraved Single-Six # 5100, the first gun of the 20 consecutive
numbered Single-Sixes sent to Spain for engraving, and the Charles Jerred
engraved Single-Six # 100718, which was
in the last group of seven Single-Sixes engraved by Jerred.
The “Pete” Brown Single-Six # 23 and the Fred Davis
Single-Six # 51 reflected fine examples of early guns that Bill Ruger sent to
Gun writers and special gun industry folks.
Lee also displayed the No. 1 rifle # 3437, engraved by A. A. White in the pattern of the Writers “21 Club” rifles but not factory commissioned. With fine custom wood by Joe Balichie of North Carolina and a Shilen barrel in 7MM Remington Magnum, this is a real mystery Ruger rifle!! (click pictures for a larger version) RUGER BEARCATS 1958 – 2002 , by Carl Laco2ND PLACE TULSA SHOWCarl’s fine Bearcat display consists of all of the major variations of the Bearcat, Super Bearcat, and New Bearcat. A “D” marked duplicate serial numbered old model, a rare six-digit # 999XXX old model, and Bearcats # 100 and # 90-00100 and # 91-00100 Super Bearcat were included. The New Models included three consecutively numbered rare convertibles, a “D” marked gun, one of only 5 shipped, and early stainless version without the firing pin groove.
