It’s been approximately a year ago that I was sent a book named Saving Freedom.   I get a lot of books, many I never read.  I put Saving Freedom on a shelf with some others that I’d get to in time.  Several weeks back I picked up Saving Freedom, and having recently completed the last page, I can wholeheartedly endorse this book as one that every concerned American should read.

I stated every “concerned American” should read.  This book would certainly cause those with a liberal or socialist slant to take issue with its contents.  However, I believe that everything in the book is factual and has an excellent reference section to back up every statement and claim.  It is a position statement on the state of our union as it stands today, a summary of the problems, and how each of us can be involved to help our nation get out of the mess we are in.

Unlike a lot of books written by reporters, editors, writers, or those who want to make a statement or make money, this book was written by a conservative politician.  US Senator Jim DeMint is the author.  He writes from the position as one in the battle against the socialist affront, not as a spectator.  He writes from a position of supporting our Constitution (and even has a copy of the Constitution in the back section of the book) and encourages every American to read the Constitution and support it as the document that forged our great nation.  The book is well-written and has information within that is important to each of us that are concerned about our freedoms.

Senator DeMint doesn’t just take sides.  He’s Republican, but he is quick to criticize both the Republicans and the Democrats for the mess that America is in today.  He expresses great concern with the policies of Obama of course, as these are the greatest danger to our freedoms at any time in the history of America.  The book is not about politics.  The book is about freedom.  America is losing our freedom, and it needs to be saved.  This is the premise of the book, and why we as voters and taxpayers need to read this book and implement the actions recommended.

Saving Freedom just doesn’t outline the problem, or just the cause, but also indicates the “fix” to the problem.  America is in a mess.  Obama policies and politics of the House and Senate are about to bankrupt our nation, and steal from us the freedoms that many have lived and died to protect.  While it is important that we kick out of office every politician that doesn’t support through his or her actions practices that are best for American citizens, we must not wait until November to take action.  We must put in new Senators and Representatives this November, certainly, that supports the Constitution and individual freedoms of Americans, but there are things that we can do now as well.  Saving Freedom outlines the things we can do, and provides us with the facts about where we are and how we got there.

Newt Gingrich states, “Saving Freedom is a new Declaration of Independence, a call for the American people to reclaim America.”  Fox News’ Sean Hannity states the following, “Jim DeMint describes the clear and present danger posed by big government, and what we must do to preserve individual liberty and personal responsibility.  Every American needs to read this book.”  Steve Forbes states, “I view Saving Freedom as a blueprint for the effort that all concerned Americans must join to restore and protect the freedoms we depend on.”

The only other book I have endorsed on Gunblast.com is the Holy Bible.  It is the greatest book ever written, and I’d encourage every American to read it as well.  If all of us read, understood, and acted upon the teachings of the Bible, then we’d not need another book to tell us what to do or how to get out of problems.  There is nothing we can face not covered within the pages of the Bible.  If you haven’t been to “Greg’s Corner” section of Gunblast.com, perhaps you should visit there sometime as well.  So, outside of the Bible, this is the only other book I have endorsed on Gunblast.com.  It is not equal to the Bible by any means; there is no book equal to the Bible.  However, for a book that establishes a plan of action by which every American can participate in the restoration of our individual liberties, then Saving Freedom is something that you should read.
